What Does The Bible Say?
The Bible (God's Word) is our handbook... our instruction manual for life, both in the natural and in the spiritual realm.
Everything we will ever encounter or ask about is answered in His word.
Despite being written thousands of years ago, The Bible is still relevant for today. God, because He is omnipotent (all-powerful) and omniscient (all-knowing) had the foresight to put absolutely everything we'd need in His word.
Marriage? God's word has it. Homosexuality? God's word has the answers. Stealing? Got it covered.
How about more modern topics, such as debt? God covered it completely. Investing? God's word covers that too.
What about jealousy or envy? God speaks very specifically about these too.
No matter what topic we can think of, God's word has something to say about it and gives us specific instructions for how to handle it, whether we should indulge in it or not, how to avoid it if it is a sin, how to do it right if it is not a sin, how to have wisdom and so much more.
(James 1:5 NKJV) If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
So it's all there for us! We just need to seek it.
What the Bible Says About Marriage?
Marriage is an institution created by God. God created a man and a woman and united them to be "as one flesh".
The Bible speaks of marriage on many, many different occasions and there are more than enough scriptures that teach us of the sanctity of marriage.
What The Bible Says About Faith?
From front to back, God's Word is all about faith.
It is by faith that we believe that God "is". It is by faith that we believe that Christ is the savior... the messiah, who died in our place to pay redeem us from our sins.
In the book of Hebrews, the 11th chapter tells us a lot about faith.
What The Bible Says About Lying?
From the time we're children we are taught (let's hope we're taught) that lying is wrong. We need to speak words of truth.
Lying leads us into a web of deceit that's hard to get out of once we get into it. A lie is told and then we have to tell other lies in order to cover up for the first lie. And before we know it, we can't remember what lie was told to whom.
But the truth is quite the opposite. While truth might not always be easy to take, it is what we should choose, regardless of the consequences.
(John 8:32 NKJV) "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
What The Bible Says About Forgiveness?
Forgiveness is a theme that runs from the very beginning of the Bible, through to the end.
First and foremost, God's word teaches us about His forgiveness toward us. Secondly, we are taught that we are to forgive others when they wrong us.
(Psalm 130:4 NKJV) But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared.
What does the Bible say about Homosexuality?
Homosexuality has become a very hot, much-debated topic during the last 25 years, as more and more people choose to make it known that they are engaging in sexual activity and relationships with people of the same sex.
Large groups have stepped up to share their opinions on what is right and what is not. Each group has their opinion, but what does God's Word say about it? That is, after all, what really matters.
